Transplant Prep Day 2

Today was filled with family time, packing, organizing, and errands. We’re going to miss our oldest’s birthday next weekend, so we made some time to celebrate early. It was a good day.

Birthday Sushi

Our oldest kid will celebrate another adult birthday next weekend while we’re gone. He asked “what are the chances we could have sushi together before you guys leave?” I said 100%. Memories are worth making time for. Here are some photos:

Prep Day Shots

Mike had round #2 of his shots and he’s doing well. They make him pretty tired and cold, so he usually needs a good nap sometime in the afternoons. These shots stimulate your bone marrow and that can cause bone pain, fatigue, and the coldness he feels. Nothing a good nap and a snuggly blanket can’t handle.
