Mom

This is one of my favorite pictures of my mom. She loves fettuccine Alfredo and they brought this giant bowl the size of her head out and this was the look she gave it 😂

Mom’s Not Well

This will be a short one because I’m typing on the fly from my phone.

Please pray for Mom. Her health is declining. She has been in some sort of healthcare facility (either hospital or rehab) since late November. She is physically deconditioned and continues to fight infection after infection. Because her cancer is growing again, her immune system is depleted. It’s a constant game of infection whack-a-mole. Get one under control and a new one pops up 2-3 days later.

Mike and I are discussing a trip home to WV with his team today. We think his blood counts are stable enough for him to spend a couple of weeks further away and receive support locally for any transfusions or electrolytes he may need. He is at Day +27 on his first transplant. The original plan was to do a tandem transplant after Day +28, but his kidneys need a little longer to recover.

We will hopefully know more about all that later today. In the meantime, thanks for your prayers.
